Mondays SUCK!

I hate Mondays in this place. I walked in this morning to find half the carpet back in my area ripped up, dust all through the air, and other problems encountered when 10-20 year old carpet is ripped up. Then by the time I get up front to clock in, the girls were looking for me because I already had a fricking client up there! Seems the one boss talked to her Friday and had her come in first thing. Which I knew nothing about. We got it straightened out, but damn that's annoying.

Pretty quiet weekend. Worked a few hours at the station. Went to W's buddy's house out in the boonies for dinner and goofing off. Bubba behaved quite well until the end, when he was playing with the one girl's matchbox type car, and wanted to take it home. He cried when I told him he couldn't, how would he like if she came to his house and took something of his? In the end, get this, the little girl gave it to W after Bubba was in the car, and said he could have it. My son, the charmer.

I've managed to get 5 of the 15 pounds I want to (re)lose gone. I didn't believe the scale the first few times it registered them gone, but it's been about a week, so I guess I'm doing something right. I've been meeting my goal of exercising four times a week, and been eating vegetables almost every night with dinner. Ten more to go, then maybe a few more. Who knows. I'm sure I'll do some damage when W is in the hospital. I'll try to get salads in the cafeteria, but they haven't been agreeing with me lately.

I've been glued to my desk this afternoon because my feet are nice and toasty in this little foot warmer thing the office manager got for me. Here's a pic of it!

Breathing room, plans and stuff

Okay, so taxes are done and e-filed and boy am I a happy camper. No worries on getting the bills paid I want. They will be and with plenty left over. So a bit of breathing room will be available in the budget in a few weeks.

We have lots of plans for the extra money, too, like stocking up on goodies at Sams Club, like garbage bags, laundry soap, etc. etc. I need more clothes for work, again. hahah. W is getting some tires for the truck, long long overdue, and a toolbox for the bed of the truck, again long overdue. There will also be a sizable deposit into savings for emergencies. I feel so responsible.

We've finally been given news on the back issue from the surgeon. After more reviewing and stuff, he's discovered, A BROKEN SCREW IN HIS BACK! Woah. We've also been given our consult date and surgery date. February 12th for the consult and surgery on the 20th. The inlaws will be invading, of course, and I gotta figure out what I'm doing with Bubba. My mom would normally take him, and do the shuttling to and fro Nanny's. However she'll be most likely moving to her new office (same job, new location) which is five minutes from home and she will no longer be "going by Nanny's" to and from work. So it will be a huge inconvenience for her. She's my mom and would do it, I'm sure, but I feel bad asking her to. We'll just have to see.

So some worries have gone away, only to be replaced by new ones. Such is my life.

Also, tho I probably shouldn't talk about this yet, even tho noone local reads this, my boss at the station is leaving for greener pastures. Fricking Michigan! I'll miss him dearly, and wish him the best. I hope whoever they find to replace him is just as nice and likes to give peons freebies. hahaha. But yeah, best of luck, Scrubs. Stay warm in Michigan.

I went to MY doc today for a checkup and discussion about my ashtma issues. Got a sample of a different puffer, a script for one that I have a coupon for a free one and hopefully that will help get me more controlled. Needless to say, the powers that be deciding to change puffers has screwed me royally, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all this will help and not kill the budget. If the sample one helps, she'll write me a script for that, unless it is way too expensive. But if it's working, it would reduce my dependance on the other puffer. So less money in the long run, or something. I guess we'll see.

Best of luck Jenn on the next leg of your journey. Can't wait to hear the updates that you can come home and get married!

Oh yeah, I have a blog!

Heh. Sorry y'all. There is just so little going on, I haven't written. I do the same thing day after day, and it's so utterly boring I know you wouldn't be interested.

Work still sucks. Still barely doing anything at the radio station. I've had nothing but my shift to tape the past two weeks. Same goes for this weekend. Still another month away from NASCAR starting back up, and then I'll have at least one shift over the weekend.

Bubba is fine. Rambunctious, stubborn and adorable as ever. He's a handful, that's for sure.

W is the same, as well. We haven't heard back from the doc about pending surgery, and if he doesn't call today, W will call Monday or Tuesday. I just want to get it scheduled so I can prepare at both jobs to be out for a bit.

I really want to find a new day job, but it just isn't feasible right now. Not knowing I'll need to take at least a week off for surgery. As much as I dislike this place, I have my vacation time, I have my flexibility. And the bonuses, which go a long way.

Hopefully I'll get my W-2's next week so I can get our taxes done and get whatever rebate back. I really need to get some big balances paid, which will free up a bit each month to go to other places. We still have a loooong way to go to be where I want to be debt and budget wise. Until W is better, we settle and/or he goes back to work, there isn't much more I can do.

Nanny's daughter is doing much better. She was tranfserred to a rehabilitation center last week, and MAY go home next week. She is getting her strength back but still having some issues. Thanks so much for all that have been keeping her in your thoughts/prayers. Still a long way to go, especially if they still feel she needs a transplant.

Ummm....I don't really have anything else to say. Thanks to all who commented last week. Please come back around and continue to talk to me.

the 80's rule!

This was fun! Did better than I thought. Thanks to Jenn and Andrea and if I knew how to post links as their names, I would, but otherwise, they are over in the sidebar, there. Go have some fun.

Open up and say ahhhhh....

So it's De-Lurking Week, or whatever it's called. I've made a concerted effort this week to post on more of the numerous blogs that I read, and now it's my turn. Please, leave even just a quick, "Hey!" in the comments! I KNOW that I have lurkers, even if they get here somehow by accident. And I know I haven't written much lately, and have nothing new and exciting to write about it, but come on folks, drop me a comment if you've been here, in the spirit of De-Lurking Week!!! Thanks!

Anyway

I've been silent lately, cause things are just kinda shitty. Work sucks, I hate it here so bad.

W's "surgical consult" yesterday was NOT. Just another wasted four hours, and 150 miles. The surgeon will NOW look over all the films and plan out the actual surgery, THEN have us in for the consult and schedule it. More run around that I am so utterly sick and tired of.

Nanny's daughter, K, is slowly improving. More issues have developed, but she is awake, somewhat talking/moving around. She's very weak, and is being quite hateful at times, but it's most likely depression. They are hoping to get her into a rehab place soon, to get her strength back up and all that. Thanks for all the prayers, and keep 'em coming.

That's it. I'll try to find something to post about....
