Why can I never beat the odds in a GOOD way?

K, as promised, I've deleted the post, but not fully, because I didn't want to lose y'alls wonderfully supportive comments.....we're in a bit better place but still disgusted overall with the whole thing.

New post soon, depending on how swamped I stay at work

Wow, I am so sorry that really sucks. I wish we lived closer. I'd come help you work or baby sit or something.

I said to Paul yesterday, 'I'm tired - physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually tired'. I know you know all about that. I have no words of comfort really...but we're all rooting for you as you are for us. It will get better. It has to.

I'm sorry you've been going through so much hardship. Know that there are lots of people out here who love and support you.

I just finished reading "The Invisible Man," and while I know there was all sorts of race stuff in it, the message that hit home for me was that no matter how hard you work, no matter how much you try to do the best you can ... to do the right thing, no matter what you do, it doesn't matter because your life really is not in your control. But you still gotta keep trying because if you don't you'll end up living in a creepy basement perpetually lit by a billion christmas lights. Hang in there.
