Look...

...I normally keep out of politics, but this election is driving me mad. I hate politicians, I think they are all crooks and scum and promise whatever to get elected and then do whatever they want. I do NOT want to start a political discussion about the current candidates, I just wanted to say, that either way it goes, it scares the crap outta me. I don't know enough about either to make a judgment and I have no clue yet how I'm voting. I DO know that Ms. Palin scares the hell out of me, as a woman who wants to overturn Roe v. Wade. Potentially having a VP with that mission is scary, at least to me. Again, I do NOT want to start a great debate, this is just something that has bothered me for a while and wanted to throw it out there.

I'm not too crazy about her, but like McCain. I still don't understand why he chose her as a running mate. I also have no idea what to think of Obama.

On the other hand, I think that abortions need to be regulated more. I am pro-life however; I think that there need to be some exceptions. I just don't feel that the right to have an abortion is a license to be irresponsible. If a woman/couple does not want a child I feel that they should use some form(s) of contraception to prevent that pregnancy in the first place. However I feel that in cases of rape (especially incest rape) or when the mother or child’s life is at risk that it is acceptable.

South Dakota has recently had big abortion debates and it is still in court. They passed a law that requires doctors to offer an ultra sound to women considering abortion, and to tell them that having an abortion ends a life.

I just personally don't feel that I could make that choice, but I have never been in the situation of being pregnant with an unwanted child. I wanted half a dozen of them and regrettably have to settle with two.

I think abortion needs to be a personal choice, but that it needs to be taken responsibly.

I just wanted to add that I didn't respond to this post to cause a big debate or to make any one feel bad for their personal choices. I just added my opionion however right or wrong it may be. It's what I believe. "To each their own..."

I agree with many of your points, I just wanted to let others but theirs out there first, didn't want to set any kind of tone with my post.

I don't think I could choose to have one, depending on MANY circumstances, but I don't want to NOT have that option.

p.s. we are so damn much alike I think it's scary.

I want people to feel free to leave their opinion, whatever it may be, so thank you for adding yours. I just don't want it to get ugly, so noone attack anyone else personally for their opinion.....(this all assuming any one other than you, Missy, will actually reply!!!!)
